The Coulters enjoyed traveling and traveled to Europe, the Caribbean, and Mexico. They explored many places in the United States and Canada in their RV. When Marjorie was a child, her family lived next door to Norman Rockwell and their families were friends. Marjorie posed for his famous painting, Freedom from Fear when she was a young girl. She worked at the Norman Rockwell museum in Arlington and liked answering questions from customers who would visit and signing autographs. She also drove school buses for Arlington schools for many years. Marjorie was a member of the Bennington Seventh-day Adventist church since the late 1950s.
