Mark Francis Greenberg, 67, International man of mystery, and current resident of Limerick Lane, passed away Monday December 18, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Mark was born in Bennington on March 4, 1950, the son of the late Samuel Wolf and Edith Bergstein Greenberg, attended local schools, graduating from Burr and Burton Academy. Mark worked on the family dairy farm in Manchester, was a cable television technician, a wire and cable machinery installer and process engineer around the world and spent the majority of his career working overseas. He traveled extensively in 3rd world countries in Asia to set up large wire and cable factories. While based in the US, he traveled 90% of the time in the 1980's and moved to Indonesia full time in 1992, then Malaysia for several years, and China before returning home in 2003. Mark was a Unites States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam war, was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association, a private pilot and flight instructor. He was a member of ARRL and ham radio enthusiast (WP2MG), enjoyed scuba diving, firearms(shooting sports but not hunting), traveling, and current events/news. Mark is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jared I. & Sarah J. Greenberg of Northampton, Massachusetts, sister Froda R. Greenberg of Denver, Colorado and grandchildren Xavier S. Greenberg and Isannah Y. Greenberg both of Northampton, Massachusetts. Funeral services for Mark will be held Friday morning December 22, 2017 at 11am at Israel Congregation of Manchester in Manchester, Vermont. Interment will follow in the Israel Congregation of Manchester Cemetery at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. There are no visiting hours.
