Mary A. Colegrove

Mary A. Colegrove, 61, a resident of South Street passed away August 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born in East Lyme, CT on December 8, 1957 the daughter of Joseph and Joan Conway Laplaca. She attended schools in East Lyme and graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Cornwall, CT. Mary was a manager for Walmart for over 20 years. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Colegrove of Bennington whom she married September 29, 2008, her son Christopher Strattman , Jr. of Bennington, daughters Kari McKampson of Panama City, FL and Lindsay Strattman of Pownal, step-children Joyce, Christa, Jeffrey, Jr., Cindy and Loretta Colegrove, sisters Catherine Fusco and Claudia Laplaca of Bennington, Frances Bentz of Torrington, CT and Marion Long of Panama City, FL., brothers Mark Laplaca of Storrs, CT, Peter Laplaca of Florida and William Laplaca of Bennington and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Laplaca her sister Colleen Laplaca and brothers Thomas, Christopher and Joseph Laplaca, Jr. A celebration of life for Mary will take place at a later date.
