Mary Frances Kirby

Mary Frances Kirby, 89, a resident of Bonnet Street, passed away March 17, 2015 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Mary was born in Ohio on October 23, 1925, the daughter of John Tade and Rose Cristofoli. She attended schools in Edison, New Jersey, graduating from Edison High School and earning her Associate Degree from Middlesex County College. Mary loved taking care of children which was evident as her time spent teaching school and as a nanny. She enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and, crocheting. She also enjoyed listening to music especially Elvis and Frank Sinatra. Mary is survived by her children Joseph R. Kirby, Jr. and his wife Denise of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Kenneth Kirby and his wife Marylou of Daytona Beach, Florida her sister Geraldine Brungard of Matawan, New Jersey, grandchildren Brandy, Joseph, III, Samantha, and Jake and great grandchildren Megan, Cheyenne and Paige. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph R. Kirby, Sr. whom she married in Highland Park, New Jersey on January 8, 1945 and her granddaughter Nicole. There will be a time of visitation on Friday March 20, 2015 from 6-8pm at Brewster & Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, Vermont.
