Mary Elizabeth Jones

Mary Elizabeth Jones, 92, a resident of Main Street passed away December 6, 2019 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 26, 1927 the daughter of the late Charles McKay Welling and Helen Gill and attended local schools. Mary worked as a Registered Dietician for the Syracuse School District for many years retiring in 1982. She loved her home and it's history. After retirement she enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the country and Alaska. Mary is survived by her son Douglas M. Jones of Fabius, NY, grandchildren Corey M. and Nicole M. Jones both of Cortland, NY and great grandchildren Shaylee and Jaden Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Kevan R. Jones whom she married in Brooklyn, NY on June 17 and her son Roger K. Jones. Graveside funeral services for Mary will be held later in the spring in Grandview Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday December 13, 2019 from 4-6pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT.
