Mary Kathleen (Kathi) Fernot

Mary Kathleen (Kathi) Fernot, 61, a resident of Butterfield, Drive, passed away July 6, 2015 at Albany, New York Medical Center. Kathi was born in Wales, MA on June 21, 1954 the daughter of Harold Thomas and Eleanor I. (Blanchard) Murray. She attended local schools and graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in Brookfield, MA. Kathi was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, traveling and loved the ocean and going to the beach. Kathi cherished living in Vermont for the last forty years and spending time with her family and her extended family of very close friends. She was a devoted mother and nana. Kathi is survived by her daughters Elizabeth (Liz) P. Fernot and Nicole Lynn Bartholomew and her husband Josh of West Dover, brothers William Murray of Northbridge, MA and Daniel T. Murray of Wales, MA, sister Sharon P. Murray Pfeiffer and her husband David of Wales, MA and her grandchildren Courtney and Bryanna Fernot and Summer, Zoe and Quinn Bartholomew and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her friend and former husband James Fernot who died in June 1993, brothers Harold T. Murray, Jr. and Kenneth M. Murray and sister Lynn A. Murray. A celebration of the life of Mary Kathleen (Kathi) Fernot will be held Saturday July 18, 2015 at 11am at Covey-Allen & Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, Vermont. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Friday evening from 4-7pm when the family will be in attendance.
