Mary Louise Duffy, 95, of Peru, went to Heaven peacefully on May 3, 2017. She was born August 13, 1921 in Claymont, Delaware. She was married to William ("Bill") Duffy for 52 years until he passed away in 1997. She is survived by three children, Kathleen (Paul) Smith of Wilmington, Delaware; Eileen McGrory of North East, Maryland and Michael (Jan) Duffy of Painesville Township, Ohio. A fourth child, Gerardine DeSanctis predeceased her. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren (with an 11th due later this year!). She lived in Hockessin, Delaware most of her adult life until 2013 when she moved to Peru. Mary was the twelfth of thirteen children of John and Helena Raskob, all of whom have predeceased her. She was a devoted Catholic and deeply involved in her community. For many years, she was involved with the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities of Wilmington, Delaware; this Foundation had been founded by her parents. She was loved by everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Joseph Chapel, High Street, Londonderry VT 05148. Mass of Christian Burial will be held May 9 at St. Paul's in Manchester Vermont at 9:00.
