Mary Ostrander

Mary Ostrander, 57, a resident of Shaftsbury, VT, passed away July 28, 2024 at Albany Medical Center. Mary was born in Bennington on February 17, 1967 the daughter of the late Walter H. Ostrander, Jr and Lois Vigneau. Mary attended Bennington schools, graduating from Mt. Antyhony Union High School class of 1985 going on to attend Concord Cosmetology School. She was an Administrative Assistant in area retail stores and for the Bennington Fire Department. Mary was a member of the Bennington Fire Department, enjoyed cooking, camping and spending time with family and friends. Mary is survived by her brothers James Ostrander of Shaftsbury and Walter H. Ostrander, III (Terri) of North Bennington, her nieces Olivia Smith (Jason) of Shaftsbury and Emily Ostrander and her significant other Jake Colliano of North Bennington and her great niece Charlotte Smith. At the request of the family there are no formal funeral services.
