Mary Sendra Senecal

Mary Sendra Senecal 66 of Manchester Vermont passed away peacefully on October 11 at her home after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Manchester, Mary was married to her husband Michael Senecal for 40 years, raising two sons Shaun Senecal and Ryley Senecal whom she was immensely proud of. Mary ran a business with her husband Mike, Southern Vermont Glass in Manchester, and had the opportunity to meet numerous people through that business. Her smile and sense of humor touched many customers, often coming back simply to chat with her. Mary had her “BFF’s”, Kess, Lauren, Abby, Jackie, and the “Porch Girls”. Mary loved taking short trips to the Adirondacks or to Maine and finding out-of-the-way fancy restaurants.
She enjoyed sitting on the beach in Maine, soaking up the sun, her other passion was being the state treasurer for the VFW Ladies auxiliary, she loved working for the veterans and was very proud of the work she did. She was a proud member of Brattleboro 1034 with dear friends Karen and Charlotte. Mary is pre deceased by her father, Vincent Sendra, her mother, Katherine Sendra, and her brother Lee Sendra, and survived by her sister Susan Kasuba (née Sendra), per her wishes a celebration of life will be held in the spring with a private burial to follow in Danby next to her parents. In lieu of flowers, financial contributions in memory of Mary can be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter in Arlington, Vermont.
