Mary A Tinker

Mary Ann (Stellakis) Tinker, 61, of Manchester, VT and formerly of East Northport, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday March 23, 2023. Mary was born on April 12, 1961 to the late Catherine (Gitsis) Yonkers and Stephen G. Stellakis in Queens, NY. They eventually made their home on Long Island in East Northport where Mary and her brothers attended the local schools. For a short time, Mary joined the Air Force, working as a supervisor at Davis Aircraft. She also cooked her heart out for local catering companies and delis as well as participated in nursing school. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, helping others, reading, cooking, listening to music and crafting. All Mary ever wanted was to find peace within. She spent many hours reading from the bible and studying other religions as a hobby, now she is finally at peace. Mary was predeceased by her mother, Catherine (Gitsis) Yonkers, father Stephen G. Stellakis. She is survived by her twin daughters, Erica & Nikki Olsen and their father Kevin Olsen, brothers Gregory Stellakis, Dennis Yonkers, and nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. We are truly grateful to our mother for all the life lessons she has taught us and for the huge sacrifice she made to give us a better quality of life in beautiful Vermont. She gave us many gifts. The greatest gift of all is knowing that the strength my sister and I carry in our hearts came from her. My sister and I would like to offer our sincere gratitude to everyone in the community who has helped our mother throughout all these years. We will miss her very much but know that she is at peace. A small memorial will be held at Brewster Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT on Saturday April 8 from 12-2. Please feel free to join us in remembering our mother.
