Melissa Cahill

Melissa Rosalie Cahill, 48, a resident of Vermont passed away unexpectedly March 1, 2025 peacefully at her home. Melissa was born in South Korea on May 1, 1976 and raised by her parents Francis and Rosalie Manza in Ocean Twsp NJ.

Melissa was an amazing soul who touched many people’s lives. Her kindness, support, humor, patience, and deep wisdom was apparent to all who met her. She loved to cook and dance. Melissa will be greatly missed by her partner of 25 years Jim Cahill. She had a broad range of life experiences including working in downtown Manhattan, long stretches of time off & travel, business start-ups in Florida & Washington, and a rewarding, quiet last few years in Vermont. She made many friends in all the places she lived. While in Vermont Melissa was an I.T. Operations manager for The Richard’s Group insurance company.

Melissa is survived by her husband James Cahill of Vermont, stepdaughter Mikayli Cahill of Ireland, brother Anthony Manza, twin sister Marianne Kriezman, sister Brigitte Phillips, and favorite pup Lou. A celebration of her life will be decided at a later date.
