Michael J Burdick

Michael J. Burdick, 55, a resident of Abbott Street, passed away March 31, 2024 at Albany Medical Center. Michael was born in Bennington, VT on November 7, 1968 the son of the late Walter and Anna Burdick and attended Bennington schools. Michael worked as a carpenter and builder for many years, building and remolding many area homes. He loved hunting and following NASCAR and was a fan of Dale Ernhardt, Sr. He loved to cook, listen to old country music, enjoyed the outdoorst, his home and cherished time spent with his family. Michael is survived by his wife Andrea (Shartrand) Burdick of Bennington, children Jeremy Burdick of Bennington,  Nathan Burdick of New York, Damien Burdick of Arlington and Michael Burdick, II, Ryan Burdick and Harley Burdick (Austin Harrington) all of Bennington, his brother George Burdick of New York, sister Robin of Massachusetts, grandson Silas Harrington, step children Christopher Wiles, Jr. and William Bull of Pownal and Courtney Bull of Bennington, 7 step grandchildren and his beloved beagle Boomer. He was preceded in death by his daughter  Lisa Marie Burdick. Funeral services for Michael will be held Saturday April 13, 2024 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT, A visiting hour at the funeral home will be held from 12-1pm, one hour prior to the service.
