Michael J Dickinson

Michael J. Dickinson, Sr., 66, a resident of Route 313, passed away August 14, 2023 at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with Renal Failure. Michael was born in Glens Falls, NY on December 27, 1956 the son of the late Ernest and Luella (Mallory) Dickinson and attended Glenfall's school. Michael worked at the MACE Company in Bennington for many years. Mike loved watching sports whether it was baseball or basketball, football or Soccer and he enjoyed bowling. Michael umpired and refereed many area sports activities and enjoyed following and watching his grandchildren play sports. Michael loved to hunt and enjoyed going to hunting camp with his nephew Mark Dickinson and cherished times spent with his family especially his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his children, Kenneth Dickinson of Clarksville, TN, Michael Dickinson, Jr. (Sunshine) of Piney Flats, TN, Bridget McCray (Joe) of West Arlington, David Dickinson of Piney Flats, TN and Ellisa Mattison (Jeffrey, Jr.) of Pownal, Granchildren, Hailey Good (Arron), Grace Dickinson, Hope Dickinson, Derek Dickinson, Alexandra Dickinson, Masun Tate, Kardar Dickinson, Bradley Mead (Kathryn), Cory Mead Jr., Joseph McCray, Natalie McCray, Milie Mattison, Justin Mattison, Aliyah Dickinson, Brittany Denton, Alex Denton; 7 Great Grand children;brothers Phillip Dickinson (Karen) of Luzerne, NY, Peanut Dickinson of South Glens Falls, NY, Douglas Dickinson (Terry) of South Glens Falls, NY and Mark Dickinson (Sharon) of Bennington, sisters Anita (Larry), Gidget of Queensbury, NY, Ginny (Joseph) of Hudson Falls, NY, Sandra of Hudson Falls, NY and Rosie of Glens Falls, NY, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 9 siblings. Graveside funeral services for Michael will be held Saturday August 26, 2023 at 1pm in West Arlington Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. There will be an after celebration at 3815 RT 313 West Arlington Vermont 05250.
