Michael Edward Barber

Michael Edward Barber, 73, of Route 30, passed away unexpectedly April 1, 2015 at his home. Michael was born in Bennington on October 15, 1941 the son of Robert Alexander and Hilda (Harrington) Barber and attended local schools. Michael worked for J.K. Adams in Dorset, Manchester Wood and helped in the kitchen at the Inn at Westview Farms. Michael enjoyed riding his bicycle, listening to the oldie's, working on his home and yard and loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He believed strongly in politics, enjoyed watching sports and cooking. Michael cared very dearly for his wife Sallie before her passing.Michael is survived by his sister Susan Walsh of Bennington, his uncle Edward Barber and his wife Natalie of Green Valley, Arizona, and nephews William Warren Walsh of Bennington and Brian David Walsh of Swanton. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty five years Sallie (Mercier) Barber. Funeral services for Michael will be held on Friday April 17, 2015at 4 pm, at the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert. There are no visiting hours.
