Michele (Lavigne) Haskins

Michele (Lavigne) Haskins of Pownal, VT, passed away after illness on August 19, 2023. She was born on March 26, 1958 the daughter of the late Robert and Carol Lavigne of North Adams. She attended St. Joseph’s school and graduated from Drury High school in 1976. She dedicated her life to caring for others starting as an aide in the cafeteria at North Adams Regional Hospital to serving the community as a registered nurse for over 30 years until retirement in 2020. She loved her dogs and cats, the beach in Maine, Boston sports, country music, Broadway shows, and travel. She was a proud grandmother of Ellie and Eva. She is survived by son, Jared, and daughter-in-law, Jenna Haskins of Jericho, VT and son, Jason, and daughter in-law, Simona Haskins of Reston, VA. A mass of Christian death and burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning August 29, 2023 at 11 am at Sacred Heart St Francis deSales Roman Catholic Church in Bennington, VT. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held Monday August 28, 2023 from 4-6pm at the Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the LPN nursing program at McCann Technical School.
