Mildred “Mim” Green

Mildred “Mim” Green, 67, passed away Sunday May 9, 2021 at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. Mim was born in Barnet, VT on January 22, 1954. She married Cecil Green, Jr on June 16, 1973 and enjoyed 24 years of marriage before his passing on May 17, 1998. Over the years she worked several jobs including Northern Cross in Brattleboro and HCP in Hinsdale, NH and retired after working at Northeast family Institute in Brattleboro. While Mim lived in Rockingham for the last 10 years, she always considered Whitingham, VT as her true home. While in Whitingham she was on the Whittingham Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends or getting her hands dirty in the gardens. She is survived by her children Bernard Green and April Green of Rockingham, VT, sister Hazel LaValley and brother-in-law James LaValley of Webster, FL, brother Greg Achilles and sister-in-law Linda Achilles of Lyman, NH, sister-in-law Elizabeth Achilles of South Ryegate, VT, sister-in-law Auralie Achilles of Lyman, NH, sister-in-law Patty Denny of Whitingham, VT and brother-in-law Kenny Green,of Wilmington, VT, her two best friends and soul sisters Denise Carrier and Nancy Janovsky as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mim will be held Saturday May 15, 2021 at Noon at Covey-Allen & Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, VT. Interment will follow in Gates Cemetery in Whitingham on the Wilmington Cross Road. A visiting hour will be held at the funeral home from 11am-Noon one hour prior to the service.
