Mr. Richard V. Boisvert 79 a former longtime resident of Wilmington, VT and more recently of Bennington, VT died Saturday evening February 28, 2015 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in the company of his loving family.The son of Victor J. and Esther (Belanger) Boisvert, Richard was born in Coaticook, Quebec on April 12, 1935. He was well known and remains highly respected in the forest products industry. He loved to spend countless hours manicuring his 50 acre woodlot in Barford, Quebec, hunt, fish and was an avid vegetable gardener. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Fatima Council. He married the former Noella Bouchard in Coaticook on August 3, 1957, she resides in Bennington. He is survived by his eight children: Nicole and husband Kim Thayer of Readsboro, Francine and husband Glenn Brown of Jacksonville, Monique and husband Jake White of Wilmington, Johanne and husband Craig Thayer of Readsboro, Sylvia and husband Rodney Miller of Claremont, NH, Peter and wife Molly Boisvert of Wilmington, Michael and wife Karen Boisvert of Readsboro and Nicholas and wife Tish Boisvert of Readsboro. Surviving siblings; Pauline, Gertrude, Robert, Rita, Agnes, Gerard, Michel, Maurice and Carole, 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two grandsons Jason White and Matthew Thayer, siblings Leo, Edmond, Suzane and Joseph.Richard will forever be loved and missed by his wife, children and grandchildren. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 6 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilmington. A prayer service will precede the funeral mass at 11:15 at the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8pm when the family will be present.Memorial gifts may be made to the Knights of Columbus in care of Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home, P.O.
