Mrs. Patricia W. Becker

Mrs. Patricia W. Becker, 95 a former resident of Lake Paran Road passed away peacefully Monday March 21, 2022. Mrs. Becker was born in Shaftsbury on August 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Casey) Robinson. She grew up in Shaftsbury where she attended Shaftsbury Elementary School and was a 1945 graduate of Bennington High School, she continued her education at the former St. Joseph's Business College in Bennington. Mrs. Becker married Leroy Becker on January 10,1948 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington, Mr. Becker predeceased her on January 15, 1991. She had worked as a receptionist at the former Ben Mont Company for 23 years and then at Bennington College as Administrator of the Housekeeping Division from which she retired. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, always helping others, she was a caregiver to several elderly people in the area, a driver for the visually impaired and she always reached out to assist the poor. She leaves her two daughters Claire Becker of Long Island, NY and Joan Malinowski and her husband Mark of Bennington, two grandchildren Matthew Malinowski of Bennington and Siobhan Becker of Long Island, a niece Mary Elizabeth Flynn of Virginia and a nephew Edward Flynn of Illinois. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by three brothers Gerald Robinson, George Robinson and John Robinson and a sister Margaret Flynn. The liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington on Thursday March 24, 2022 at 11am. Burial will take place in the family lot in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
