Neoma "Candy" Towne Fleming Forrest Hollister passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2022. She was born in Cambridge, NY on October 21, 1938. She was the only child of Charles and Goldie Delaney Towne of East Arlington, VT. Neoma moved to East Arlington at the age of 5. She attended Mt. Pleasant one room schoolhouse on Kansas Road in Sunderland, VT and Arlington Memorial High School. She worked for twenty-eight years for Photo Mat Corporation as a manager at several stores. Upon moving back to Vermont she worked at the Chalet and Domestick Homes and Quality Restaurant in Manchester. The Katz family, who owned the Chalet Motel, treated her like family, she worked there 10 years. She enjoyed traveling with her mother. They traveled throughout 45 of the 50 states. Wells, Maine was one of her favorite vacation spots next to the ocean. She also favored Westerly Rhode Island and Assateague running of the horses. In the earlier years her mom and dad enjoyed the Sulky Horse Racing. She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Fleming Rossier (Mark) North Hero, VT, two sons, David Forrest (Wanda) Bennington, VT, Daniel (Tammy) Searsburg, VT, Grandchildren include Brian (Katherine) Rossier, Zachery and Reese Forrest and Daniel, Jr. and Dustin Hollister. Great-Grandchild Leium Forrest. Special friend Martha Brownell. She was predeceased by one child, Rebecca Lee Forest and her past husband's Reid Fleming, David Forrest and Richard R. Hollister, her mother and father Charles and Goldie. Delaney Towne and her long time canine companion Gizmo. The family will receive friends at the Arlington Chapel of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home on Thursday September 22 from 5-7pm. Graveside service and Burial will be at the West Hebron Cemetery, 721 Chamberlin Mill Rd. Hebron, NY, per Neoma's request, on Friday September , 23 at 10 am with Tim Counts officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, P.O. Box 528, Arlington, VT 05250.
