Noelle M. Smith (Mullan)

Noelle M. Smith (Mullan), 90 years old of Manchester Center, VT, formerly of Syosset, NY, died peacefully after a 6 month battle with cancer on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Born in the Bronx, NY in 1932 during the depression, Noelle went on to become a registered nurse and married the love of her life, Kenneth V. Smith. Together they moved to Syosset, NY where they raised their three children. Noelle and Ken built a second home in Vermont where they enjoyed numerous activities with their children. Years later, their love of Vermont called and they retired to Manchester Center and enjoyed the serenity of the area and the wonderful friendships with neighbors and other members of the community. Noelle had a true zest for life. She immersed herself in all Manchester had to offer. She enjoyed tennis, golf, skiing, and especially loved being surrounded by her family and friends. Noelle is preceded in death by her father, James Mullan and her mother, Mary (Doyle) Mullan in addition to her husband, Kenneth V. Smith and her son-in-law, James G. Connolly. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Mullan) Reyman, her 3 children, Christine (Smith) Schlicht and her husband, John, Kenneth V. Smith Jr. and his wife Donna and Maureen (Smith) Connolly. She is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren, Meagan (Collin) Norris, Brian Schlicht, James (Breana) Connolly, Colin Connolly, Tyler Smith and Griffin Smith as well as her 4 great grandchildren, Madelyn, Landon and Harper Norris and Nolan James Connolly (born May 19th, 2023), along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousin. Services will be held on Friday, August 11th at 10 AM at Christ Our Savior Church, Manchester Center, VT.
