Olanda M. Fitz

Olanda M. Fitz, 28, a resident of Shaftsbury Hollow Road, passed away November 11, 2016 at his home. Olanda was born in Castries, St. Lucia on June 10, 1988 the son of Dalton Victor and Magdaline Fitz. He moved to the United States at age ten and attended local schools and worked as a contractor in the construction business for many years. Olanda loved guns and target shooting. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, 4-wheeling and just being in the woods. He enjoyed farming, listening to reggae music and country music. He is survived by his wife Amanda Fitz of Shaftsbury, mother Magdaline Terris of Brooklyn, NY, step-father Fidelis Terris, son Jahziah Snow-Anderson, daughters Sade and Naviana Fitz and brothers Chris, Reed and Rickie Fitz of St. Lucia, Fidelis Terris, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, Agustus Agustin, Hagan Steven, Marvel Simeon and Matthew Simeon, sisters Marcia Dantes of Georgia, Elisha Simeon of St. Lucia and Yvonne Alfred and Eda Simeon of Hartford, CT and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Saturday November 26, 2016 from 12noon-2pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will be private. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Olanda's memory may be made to a local Equine Rescue Organization, c/o of Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 957 Bennington, VT 05201. Visiting hours will be held Saturday November 26, 2016 from 12noon-2pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment will be private.
