Olive M. Vetter, of White Creek, NY, passed away December 22, 2017 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. Olive was born in Clifton, NJ on May 12, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph and Olive (Taylor) Hook and attended local schools there. Olive worked as a secretary for Timothy Smith Associates architectural firm in North Bennington, VT for many years and she cherished the close relationships established with her coworkers. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends, especially her dear neighbors Donna and Chris Smith, as well as her beloved pets Maxie, Chloe, and Millie. Olive is survived by her sons Edward Vetter and his wife Robin of Vacaville, CA and William Vetter and his wife Autumn of White Creek, NY, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother-in-law Carl Vetter of Butler, NJ, nieces, nephews and a special cousin "Sis" in FL. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Vetter whom she married June 7, 1952 in Patterson, NJ and her brother Howard Hook. At the request of the family funeral services will be private. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. If friends desire memorial gifts in Olive's memory may be made to the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad or Second Chance Animal Shelter, c/o Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 957 Bennington, VT 05201. At the request of the family funeral services will be private. A celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
