Pamela M. Baker

Pamela M. Baker, 59, a resident of Cutler Street, went to her eternal home on September 12, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Bennington, Pam was born October 21, 1963, the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline (Stroffoleno) Barber. She attended Bennington schools, graduating from Mt. Anthony Union High School, class of 1983 and attended Southern Vermont College. Pam worked locally for National Hanger, Price Chopper, The Autumn Inn, and was a private duty nurse for many years taking care of many area families. Pam enjoyed camping, loved cooking and cleaning homes, kayaking, bonfires, 4-wheeling, listening to the sounds of Reba McEntire and cherished times spent with her family and friends. Most of all her favorite passion was being a Mother and Nana to her children and grandchildren. Pam is survived by her spouse, Christopher Barese of Bennington, children Rebecca Sherman of Bennington, Meagan Sherman (Jennifer Powers) of Shaftsbury and Lindsey LaCross (William) of Bennington, grandchildren Kadin Murphy, Devon Teal, Laikin Gallant and Colton LaCross, brothers Arthur Barber, Richard Barber (Nancy), David Barber all of Bennington, sisters Nancy Prouty and Sharon Burgess both of Bennington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Sister Pauline Dickinson and Brothers Michael, Raymond and Mark Barber along with Brother Francis Morin, and best friend Debra Richey. Funeral services for Pam will be held Monday September 18, 2023 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday September 17, 2023 from 2-4pm.
