Paul F. Canavan, 90, a resident of Village Lane, passed away September 23, 2023 at Brookdale, Village at Fillmore Pond. Paul was born in Roxbury, MA on February 20, 1933 the son of the late Philip and Edith (Grey) Canavan. He graduated from Charlestown High School and earned his Bachelor Degree from Northeastern University. He also served in Director of Maintenance for Stop & Shop. Paul was an avid golfer, enjoyed solving cross word puzzles and was very in tune with the political landscape of our country. Paul was also a savvy investor with finances, stocks, bond and the Stock Market.In addition to being a friend, his nephew Mark was a constant source of friendship and support through their love of golf and sharing insight into business matters. His daughter Laura, especially enjoyed spending quality time with Paul since his move to Vermont. This allowed her to attend to his increasing care for these last few years. Paul equally enjoyed these times with his daughter. Paul is survived by his son David Canavan of Texas and his daughter Laura Marchese (Eric) of Sunderland, VT, his nephew Mark Canavan, and grandchildren Anne-Marie, Regina and Lorraine. He was preceded in death by his siblings Philp, Thomas, Eleanor and Agnes Canavan. A celebration of life and interment will be held at Bourne National Cemetery October 9, 2023 at 9am.
