Pauline Barber Dickinson, 65 a resident of Webb Street passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning December 16, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Raymond J. and Pauline (Pratt) Barber , she was born in Bennington on June 26, 1955. Pauline grew up in Bennington where she attended local schools and was a graduate of Mt. Anthony Union High School. She had previously worked at the Paradise Motor Inn. Pauline was an avid bowler and was active in the Couple’s League and Women’s League. She enjoyed country music , Loretta Lynn was her favorite singer . She liked playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bennington. She leaves her husband Joseph Dickinson of Bennington, son Chad Prentiss (Deseria) of Bennington, daughters Amanda Dickinson (Timothy Woodward) of Bennington and April Perry (Michael) of Bennington, brothers Willard Barber (Tina Sirois) , David Barber , Richard Barber (Nancy) and Arthur Barber all of Bennington, sisters Nancy Prouty (Raymond) , Sharon Burgess (Mark Dickinson) and Pamela Baker (Chris Barese) all of Bennington. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by brothers Michael Barber Sr., Mark Barber and Raymond Barber Jr. Pauline’s family is grateful for the care that her daughter Amanda gave her as her main caregiver for many years and for her grandson James was there by her side whenever she needed him to care for her. They had special bond like no other. They would also like to acknowledge Lisa Cramer of VNA and Hospice of Southwestern Vermont , her doctor Dr. Steve Rucker, Amy VanDerKar her physical therapist and friends of the family who helped care for her : Nathan Pellerin and Alton Robinson. Services for Pauline will be held December 30, 2020 at 1pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main St Bennington, VT. Calling hours will be held from 10 am to 1pm on December 30th, immediately before the service. Burial will follow the service in Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the family to assist them with expenses in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
