Priscilla June (Mazelli) Streeter

June 10, 1929 — March 13, 2021

Priscilla June (Mazelli) Streeter, 91 a former resident of Sandwich, MA, and native Vermonter, died March 13, 2021 in an assisted living facility in Centerville, MA. She passed away peacefully and comfortably with her daughters by her side after a long and difficult journey through the stages of Vascular Dementia and affiliated conditions. She married her high school sweetheart Richard T. Streeter who predeceased her in 2000. They were married in their hometown of Wilmington, VT, in 1951. Priscilla was born in Wilmington, VT in 1929, the daughter of Mario G & Ruth (Withrow) Mazelli. She graduated from high school in 1947, then New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Boston in 1950, and received an undergraduate degree from Emmanuel College, Boston in 1979. The Streeters spent 20 years in Bellows Falls and Northfield, VT where she had a varied and active nursing career while raising their family. The family moved to Cohasset, MA in 1970 and she was the Head Nurse at a long term care facility after which she became the Agency Director of the Hingham VNA until 1989. Upon retirement they settled in Sandwich, MA. She enjoyed her part time work in a gift shop for many years. Survived by daughters, Deborah Streeter of Plymouth, MA, and Nancy Harrison and husband, Dennis Fortier, of Centerville, MA: grandson, Jason Harrison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister Marcia (Mazelli) Willard and brother-in-law, Bruce Willard, of Mashpee, MA; and several nieces and nephews. As an octogenarian, she continued to maintain their home in Sandwich after Richard died. Then in 2014 she moved into an Independent living facility in West Yarmouth, MA. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Wilmington, VT this summer, joining her parents and husband at Riverview Cemetery.
