Rebecca “Becca” Coleman

Rebecca “Becca” Coleman, 38, of Bondville, VT, passed away on Dec. 15, 2023. She was born in Springfield, VT, to Nelson and Beth (Burke) Coleman on Sept. 26, 1985.

A lifelong teacher, Becca earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Vermont, graduating summa cum laude. At the time of her passing, she was a special educator at Flood Brook School in Londonderry, VT, where she was beloved by her students, coworkers and the wider community.

In addition to a full-time teaching job, Becca volunteered as a coach and for numerous other community organizations. Her passions included snowboarding, skiing, reading, cooking, gardening and going on adventures with family and friends.

Becca leaves a legacy of warmth and selflessness. Known for her exceptional wit and intelligence, she could bring light and laughter to any situation. Her untimely absence is keenly felt by all who knew her, and most acutely by her husband Cliff DesMarais and their children Samuel and Maisie (Margaret), her parents Nelson and Beth and beloved brother Matthew Coleman of Rawsonville, VT

The bereaved also include countless extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life will take place at the Flood Brook School gymnasium on Jan. 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
