Reginald Charles Fox, 79, a resident of Route 100, passed away May 30, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident, Reginald was born in Whitingham on January 28, 1936 the son of Albert and Bessie (Reynolds) Fox and attended Whitingham schools. Reginald was an Engineer for the Hoosac and Wilmington Railroad from 1959-1971 and was also manager for two years in Kentucky as an Engineer. He worked for Deerfield Glassine in Monroe Bridge, Massachusetts and later as a truck driver and grader operator for the Town of Whitingham. He retired from Eilers Brothers as a truck driver in 1998 and was a meter reader for the Village of Jacksonville for over seven years. He also ran the grader for the Town of Whitingham following retirement especially during the Irene storm. Reginald was a Korean War Veteran as a member of the United States Army, was a lifelong member and past Commander of the American Legion, Cecil A. Davis Post 17, a member of the Unity Lodge #89, F&AM and a former member of the Whitingham Fire Department and the Whitingham Ambulance service. Reginald enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at his camp and cherished times spent with his family. Reginald is survived by his wife the former Julia Anne Bartlett whom he married in West Dover on June 30, 1956, children Sherrie Lind and her husband Jerry of Searsburg, Laurie Brown and her husband Greg of Whitingham and Tommy Fox and his wife Holly of Halifax, grandchildren Derick Lind, Molly Corse, and Jessica and Ethan Fox and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Martha Fox. Funeral services with military honors for Reginald will be held Thursday morning June 4, 2015 at 10am at Covey-Allen & Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street Wilmington, Vermont.
