Rhoda Marie Meyette

Rhoda Marie Meyette, 77, a resident of Bennington, Vermont passed away on March 10th, 2025 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation following a long illness.

Rhoda was born on May 6th, 1947 to the late John and Margaret Davis. She spent many years moving to different areas of the country before settling in Bennington.

Rhoda was very talented at everything she did. She held many different careers over the years, with her favorite places to work being The Salvation Army and Goodwill. She could do anything she set her mind to and was truly a jack of all trades.

Rhoda was a down to earth person; she was always happy and did anything she could to help others. She loved the ocean and butterflies. Rhoda enjoyed listening to ‘oldies’ music, ideally from the 1940’s-1970’s and spending time in the garden.

Services for Rhoda will be held at the convenience of her family.

Rhoda is survived by her four children; Charles Hicks Jr. (Zorlynda), of Bennington, VT, James Meyette Jr. (Tiffany), of Hoosick Falls, NY, Tammy Manning (Walter), of Greenfield, NC and Charlene Hicks (William), of San Antonio, TX. Her one brother, John Davis Jr. (Ellen), of Chatham, NY. Rhoda was blessed with countless grandchildren and great grandchildren who also survive her. She has many other extended family members, includes nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rhoda was predeceased by her two former husbands; Charles Hicks Sr. and James Meyette Sr.
