Richard "Dick"Anderson, 84, a resident of Forest Mountain Road, passed away April 25, 2017 at Springfield Health and Rehabilitation Center. Richard was born in Akron, Ohio on December 11, 1932 the son of the late James White Anderson and Dorothy Rodger Carson. He received his Bachelor and Masters Degree from Case Institute of Technology. He worked as a Chemical Engineer for Standard Oil Company of Ohio and then the Union Carbide Corporation. Under the direction of Robert Shaw, Dick sang for the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for 10 years. He moved to "beautiful Vermont" from Katonah, NY and enjoyed a life of laughter, music, family and golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Kathleen P. Anderson of Peru, VT, his brother James S. Anderson and wife Joanne of Cedarburg, WI, sister-in-law Noreen Price of Westbrook, CT, daughter Janice A. Perreault of Reston, VA, sons Mark R. Anderson of Marblehead, MA, James R. Anderson of Harrison, NY and Jeffrey S. Anderson of Minneapolis, MN and grandchildren Eric, Michael, Christopher and Rebecca. A celebration of Dick's life was held on Sunday April 30th at Peru Congregational Church. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Dick's memory may be made to The Peru Congregational Church.
