Richard Casse

Richard, age 93, of Bennington, passed away Saturday October 1, 2016, at his residence with his loving wife and best friend of 64 years, Elizabeth by his side. In his early years, Richard had worked on dairy farms and for many years he work for the New York State Department of Transportation in the southern tier. Richard enjoyed auctions and yard sales, where he could always find a good conversation. He liked taking long rides with family to see the changing fall foliage, as well as watching western movies. Richard is survived by his beloved Elizabeth, loving children Alena Sanusi (Sani) of Malaysia, Terry Casse of Raymond NH, JoElla Casse of Albany NY, Richard Casse Jr (Miriam) of Raymond NH, Joy Casse-MacDonald (Richard) of Troy NY, Beth Casse-Boni (Glen) of Albany, Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Lucinda Lyon, brothers Adolph Casse Jr and William Casse, and sister Dorinda Foster.Funeral services for Richard will be held at Brookdale at Fillmore Pond 300 Village Lane Bennington, Vt, Saturday October 15, 2016 at 2:00PM. Interment will be in Hamptonberg Cemetery, Hamptonberg, NY. There are no visiting hours.
