ARLINGTON-
Richard C. Leverson, 90, a resident of Arlington, Vermont, passed away January 19th, 2025 at his residence with his daughter and caregivers by his side.
Richard was born on December 15th, 1934 in Lamoni, Iowa to the late Clarence Oliver and Mabel (Currie) Leverson. He graduated from Van Nuys and continued his education at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA where he received his Associates Degree. He spent five years working for Pacific Bell before taking a position at IBM. Richard retired after 30 years with the company and relocated with his family to Vermont.
In 1959, Richard married the love of his life Virginia Zinn. Virginia and Richard had lived next-door to each other their whole childhood and over the years, fell deeply in love. Virginia passed away on May 15th, 2018 with Richard by her side.
Richard was an avid gunsmith. He was a member of the IBM Golf Club. He enjoyed spending his time reading, playing golf, traveling and listening to Blue Grass Music. Richard’s favorite sports team was the Seattle Seahawks.
Richard is survived by his two children; Linda L. Leverson, of Arlington, VT and Mark R. Leverson, wife Debby of Dayton, NV; eight grandchildren; Christina, Charlotte, Jaqueline, Megan, Richard, Ian, Shannon, Elyse; and eight great grandchildren; Leo, Caiden, Rory, James, Justin, Emma, Wyatt, and Penelope.
Visiting hours for Richard will be held on January 30th, 2025 from 5-7pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home Arlington Chapel, Route 7A Arlington, VT. Graveside services will be held in the spring and announced at the convenience of the family.
