Robert Harrington

Robert W. Harrington , formerly of Route 313 passed away suddenly on Thursday November 9, 2017 at Bennington Health and Rehab at the age of 89. The son of Richard and Bernice (Sharkey) Harrington, he was born at home in West Arlington on July 28, 1928. Robert had worked for Wilcox Lumber for over 40 years as a log handler. He spent his free time fishing and hunting , he also enjoyed watching and attending wrestling matches. He leaves his son Robert Harrington of North Adams, MA, sister Avis Archibald and husband Charles of Shaftsbury, brother Philip Harrington and wife Louise of Manchester, his cat Tiger and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings Duane, Richard, Myron and Marion. Graveside funeral services will be held at the West Arlington Cemetery on Monday November 13 at 1pm with Reverend Penny Rich Smith officiating. In honor of Roberts love of animals, memorial gifts may be made to the Second Chance Animal Center in care of Hanson Wabridge & Shea Funeral Home, P.O. Box 528, Arlington, VT 05250. Graveside funeral services will be held at the West Arlington Cemetery on Monday November 13 at 1pm
