Robert M. Koch Jr.

Robert M. Koch Jr., 69, a resident of both Concord, NH and Wilmington, VT passed away peacefully on Sunday June 19, 2016 in Concord, surrounded by his family. The son of Robert and Helene (Radowicz) Koch, he was born in Falls Church, VA on December 23, 1946. He graduated from Congressional High School, and continued his education at the University of Miami, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary. While working as a lobbyist at the Office of the Postmaster General in Washington DC, he met Brenda Barry, and they married on April 12, 1975 in Wollaston, MA. Soon after, they started their life together in NH. For many years Bob maintained a successful law practice in Concord. Bob thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent at his family's old homestead at Lake Raponda in Wilmington, which dates back over 100 years. This is where he enjoyed water-skiing and many other outdoor activities. Bob later became a licensed Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide. He always enjoyed the company of his dogs, Barkley, Colby, and Daniel, and he loved working in his garden in VT. Above all else, Bob enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves his wife Brenda Koch of Concord and Wilmington, daughters Lindsey Koch, Esq. of Seattle, WA and Dr. Sarah Koch of Ann Arbor, MI, sister Dr. Marilyn Koch Gowing of Parkland, FL.Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 23 at 11am at the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home in Wilmington, burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.Memorial gifts may be made to Lungforce Foundation or Concord Regional VNA in care of the Covey Allen & Shea Funeral Home, P.O.
