Robert K. Overton

Robert K. Overton, 70, a resident of Townsend Massachusetts for 40 years and newly a resident to Wardsboro Vermont. Passed away Saturday January 2, 2021 at his home. Robert was born in Winchester, MA on September 2, 1950 the son of the late George and Geraldine Hudson Overton. Robert graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1969. Robert worked in the shipyards in Boston and then worked as a self- employed contractor for many years. Robert loved hunting, fishing and woodworking and was a member of the South Fitchburg Hunting and Fishing Club. He is survived by his children Robert K. Overton, Jr (Kristin) of Maine, Christopher Overton (Diana) of Townsend, MA and Elizabeth Overton and her significant other David Prentiss of Wardsboro, brother Richard Overton (Leslie Olson) of Tewksbury, MA, sister Laura Champa (Len) of Woburn, MA grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Benjamin, Nicholas and Thomas and his great granddaughter Aurora. He was preceded in death by his brother George Overton. Graveside funeral services for Robert will be held Thursday January 7, 2021 in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington at 1pm. A visiting hour will be held at Covey-Allen & Shea Funeral Home 44 East Main Street in Wilmington on Thursday January 7, 2021 from 12-1pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask. Services will be virtual through Zoom for those who can not attend.
