Roberta R. "Bird" Kennedy

Roberta R. "Bird" Kennedy, 59, a resident of Water Street, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident, Roberta was born in Bennington on December 11, 1959. She was the daughter of Robert and Beulah (Buffum) Littlefield. She received her education in Bennington schools, graduating from Mt. Anthony Union High School. Roberta worked at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for over 20 years as a Nutrition Assistant. She enjoyed camping, spending time at the beach and ocean, attending numerous concerts, was a huge New York Yankee and Bernie Williams fan and cherished times spent with her family. Roberta is survived by her husband of 36 years, Patrick Kennedy of Bennington whom she married August 20, 1983 in Pownal, VT. She is also survived by both of her daughters, Jamie Kennedy, and Ashley Bohmer and her husband Matthew, both of Bennington, grandsons Grady and Blake Bohmer and Benson Kennedy-Hescock, mother Beulah Cottrell of North Bennington, VT, sisters Donna Cameron of Adams, MA, Gloria Littlefield of North Bennington, VT, Sharon Schmigel of Buskirk, NY, and Connie Felion and her husband David of Hoosick, NY, and her brother-in-law Raymond Alcombright of Bennington, VT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Averi Bohmer, her father Robert Littlefield, and her sister Patricia Alcombright. Visiting hours to celebrate Roberta's life will be held Sunday afternoon August 18, 2019 from 2-4pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Homes 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT.
