Rodney J. Fisher, 55, a resident of County Street, passed away January 20, 2021 at his home. Rodney was born in Bennington on August 6, 1965 the son of the late Allen Morgan and Patricia Briggs. He attended Bennington High School, graduating from Mt. Anthony Union High School. Rodney worked as a contractor in the Bennington area. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in Desert Storm. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting and taking care of his guns. He enjoyed listening to classic rock especially AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourn and Pink Floyd, enjoyed watching UFC and cherished times spent with his family. Rodney is survived by his children R.J. Fisher (Vickie) of Cochecton, NY, Coryn Mashatt (Ron) of Callicoon, NY and Karli Fisher (Jordan) of Bennington, his sister Debbie Farnum (Steve) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Skylar, Sydney and Eden and his cousin Wendy Bishop who he thought of as a sister. Funeral services for Rodney will be held Monday January 25, 2021 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. A visiting hour at the funeral home will be held from 12-1pm, one hour prior to the service. For those attending the visitation hour or the service we politely ask that you wear a mask due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
