Ronald A. Snow, 84, a resident of East Arlington, passed away August 20, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. Ron was born in East Dorset, VT on April 25, 1940, the son of the late Burton and Evelyn (Grout) Snow of Sunderland. He had three brothers and three sisters: Burton (deceased), Wayne (deceased), Larry, Marilyn Liljeberg (deceased), Janice Gordon, and Sharon Haynes. He attended local schools and graduated from Arlington Memorial High School in 1959. Ron then joined the United States Army and served his country for three years. He was stationed in Europe and drove transport trucks throughout the region for over 100,000 miles developing his passion for automobiles. After returning home he worked for the Hale Company a short time and then landed on becoming a Master Plumber. Ron worked as a plumber and owned and operated his own business for 57 years. His hobbies included collecting antiques and old tractors, often driving them in parades . Later in life he developed a passion for riding his motorcycles standing up and loved traveling around the local towns with the wind at his chest and scarf flowing; known by many as Motorcycle Man. He was a member of the American Legion in Arlington, the NRA and cherished times spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife Fern (Bromley) Snow of East Arlington whom he married in 1964, children Burr Snow of West Arlington and Keith Snow (Suzan) of Manchester, NH along with grandchildren David, Daniel, and William Snow. Graveside funeral services for Ron will be held Saturday August 24, 2024 at 2pm at Ira Allan Cemetery in Sunderland with reception to follow at Bailey Hall in East Arlington.
