Rosa M Martelle

Rosa M Martelle, 61, a resident of Rutland, VT, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her family on December 1, 2022. Rosa was born on June 7, 1961 in Bennington, VT, the daughter of Linda Keyes Bushee. Rosa attended Flood Brook Elementary School and Green Mountain High School. Rosa married Morris (Blondie) Martelle in 1981 and they had three children. Rosa will be remembered by so many for her work in daycare for 20 plus years. She loved bingo,

shopping and the family card games of 31. Survivors include her mother, Linda Keyes Bushee of Rutland, Daughter Suzanne Martelle (Ed) of Whitehall, two sons Charles Martelle (Jessica) of Wells, Wilson Martelle Sr (Heather) of Oklahoma, two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Keyes of Rutland and Frank Melendy of Rutland, a sister Peggy Lee Shores of Mt Tabor and sister-in-law Melinda Melendy of Wells. Rosa had 10 grandchildren: Mark, Zach, Angela, Jessica, Wilson Jr, Brenden, Mason, Destiny, Gauge and Lexi. She has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Morris Martelle, brother William (Billy) Melendy, brother-in-law David Shores and sister-in-law Jill Keyes. Services for Rosa will be held at 1pm  Saturday December 17, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 4895 Main St in Manchester Center, VT. A special thank you to the Foley Cancer Center for their care over the past two years.
