Ruth D. Kesick

Ruth D. Kesick, 101 a resident of Dexter Road in Shaftsbury, passed away March 22, 2023 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, Ruth was born in Arlington, VT on February 17, 1922 the daughter of the late Arthur and Maude (Twitchell) Johnson. She attended Arlington schools and graduated from Arlington High School. Ruth worked as a telephone operator, Mack Molding and as a secretary for the Hale Company in Arlington for 33 years. After the fire at Arlington High School, Ruth worked with the State of Vermont to create records for the high school. Ruth enjoyed reading, walking, playing croquet, in her earlier riding snowmobiles and cherished times spent with her family. Ruth is survived by her children David McKeighan (Mary) of Shaftsbury, Robert McKeighan of Arlington and Diann McIntyre (Gary) of New Haven Junction, VT, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Kesick who passed away October 27, 1994, her son Colin McKeighan and her sisters Lillian Johnson, Marion Wright and Alice Young. Graveside services for Ruth will be held May 6, 2023 at 11am in Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington. There are no visiting hours.
