Scot E. Rafus, 51, a resident of South Road, passed away July 18, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Scot was born in Glens Falls, NY on January 10, 1970 and attended Cambridge, NY schools. Scot was a jack of all trades. He worked as a logger for many years and after that as a carpenter. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, tinkering on anything, riding motorcycles and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music especially Hank Williams and Hank Williams, Jr. and loved cats. Scot is survived by his sons William E. Brice (Taelore) of Pawlet and Christopher Stevens (Lauren) of Bennington, his daughter Ashley A. Rafus of Shaftsbury, his parents Edwin Rafus and Louise Wolfrum, brothers Marc Rafus of White Creek, NY and Chris Rafus (Jen) of Massachusetts, his sister Marie Rafus (Randy) of Hoosick Falls, NY, 8 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jamie Rafus who passed away in 2013. Visitation hours and a celebration of Scot’s life will be held Monday July 26, 2021 from 4-7pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT.
