Scott Morey

Scott L. Morey, Sr. a resident of Grant Street passed away November 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Scott was born in Bennington on June 21, 1956 the son of George Keith and Gloria (Morey) Harrington. Scott attended local schools. Scott worked for EverReady, NSK, Steiner Film in Williamstown, MA, Mack Molding and the Village of Cambridge. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hoosick Falls and the Moose Lodge in Bennington. Scott loved bowling and was an avid sports fan. He loved following College Basketball and the Washington Redskins. Scott especially enjoyed attending his oldest grandsons Kolby Morey and Owen Kirk of Bennington Baseball, Basketball and Football games. He loved listening to rock music and was a former music D.J. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Scott is survived by his children, Jason Fottler of Bennington, Scott L. Morey, Jr and his wife of Bennington, Shawn Morey of Shaftsbury, Sheldon Morey and his wife Elizabeth of Bennington and Tonya Morey of Hoosick Falls, Brother Dean Harrington and his wife Sandra of Woodford, Sister Tammy Harrington of Bennington, Step Brother Brian Harrington of Cambridge, and Step Sister Melanie Brunina of Bennington. Twelve grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step father Ralph Harrington and his Mother Gloria (Morey) Harrington, and long time companion Christina Baker. Funeral services for Scott will be held Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 2pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, Vermont. There are no visiting hours.
