Shannon Matteson

Shannon Matteson, 39, of Bennington, Vermont passed away on April 4, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. Shannon was born in Brattleboro, Vermont on February 22, 1984 to Bruce Matteson and Janet (Shepherd) Brooks. Shannon greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going camping at Somerset, spending time at Lake Paran and fishing. She also enjoyed caring for her plants. Shannon is survived in death by her mother Janet Brooks (Charles), daughters Naomi, Natalie, Natasha and Narissa Ivey, brother Kaleb Matteson (Ashley), sister Celena Richter (Robert), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime partner Ulysses Ivey II, son Ulysses Ivey III, and father Bruce Matteson. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 16, 2023  from 11am-4pm at Jermain Hall located at 19 Niles Road, Eagle Bridge, NY 12057. The family requests that friends and family who attend bring a dish.
