A beautiful quote from her son, Dr. Louis Coyle, now a Cardiologist at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME "I was not special or exceptional, but my mother made me believe that I was. "...And so she did for all her children and grandchildren. She was a deeply spiritual woman. Sharon's faith and prayers surrounded her loved ones. Her family was her one true love, and her legacy lives on through them. A quotation from grandson Ian, especially endearing to her was, "she was an amazing granny".A quote from daughter Louise, "The most wonderful Mama in the world."Sharon was a deep believer in living an honorable life. She emphasized the trinity of hard work, education, and Catholic faith. Her self-described simple life was actually an adventure to the four corners of the United States. She traveled widely from 1986 to 1996, including traveling with her beloved grandson Daniel Coyle by car and train between Watertown, NY and Buckley/Enumclaw, WA. Daughter Sheila often referred to her as "the old woman in the shoe."Sharon Coyle graduated in 1955 from Wilson High School in Easton Pennsylvania. Her voracious appetite for reading over the years transcended the ordinary college education. Her personal friend, Dr. Ferdinand Beer, Professor Emeritus of Lehigh University often commented on her extensive knowledge and ability to speak so that all could understand. She first worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Francis P. Devlin in Phillisburg, N.J. Over the following years Sharon worked at Lafayette College and Hugh Moore Parkway followed by managing a 95 unit apartment complex all in Easton, PA. After moving to Vermont in the summer of 1986, she worked at Dartmouth-Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital. In later years she joined the Catholic Daughters Court of St. Rita of St. Paul's Parish where she proudly served as Regent. A particular enjoyment was organizing and participating in the yearly St. Paul's bazaar. Sharon was a deep lover and supporter of Native American Indians. Please consider support of the charitable organizations she donated to in her honor: St. Joseph's Indian School of Chamberlain, S.D. www.stjo.org/dreams and to St. Paul's Roman Catholic Parish at 398 Bonnet St., Manchester Center, VT 05255. She will be buried next to her parents Louis Henry Coyle and Mary Louise Bellis Coyle, at the Memorial Shrine of Easton, Pennsylvania.
