Sheila M. Fennessey, 73, formerly of West Dover and of Ft Lauderdale, FL, passed away November 24, 2017 at her home in FT. Lauderdale, Florida. Sheila was born in Boston, MA on April 21, 1944 the daughter of the late Jerome and Mary M. (Howlett) Coughlin. Sheila graduated from Quincy, Massachusetts High School, class of 1961 and from the Chandler School for Women in 1963. Sheila worked as a secretary in administration at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Marriott Corporation Family Restaurants and retired from Watson-Wyatt. Sheila loved to travel and was an avid boater. She enjoyed knitting, was an avid gardner, loved the Big Band sounds, swing and the music of the Beatles and Willie Nelson. She enjoyed watching The Bing Bang Theory and Blue Bloods on television. She also loved the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Sheila is survived by her children, Paul Fennessey of Newport, RI, Kevin Mahoney of West Roxbury, MA, Lori Fennessey of Avon, CO, Kelli Fennessey of Jackson, WY and Nancy Waldron and her husband Tim of Orleans, MA, her brother Denis Coughlin of Princeton, MA, grandchildren Michael, Kali, Shannon and Joey and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Fennessey whom she married August 10, 1985 in Newport, RI. Mr. Fennessey passed away June 4, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her son Christopher Mahoney, brother Brian Coughlin and sister Maureen Costigan. A mass of christian death and burial for Sheila will be celebrated Friday December 8, 2017 at 1:30pm at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Wilmington. Interment will follow in the family lot in Riverview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Sheila's memory mat be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Covey-Allen & Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 215 Wilmington, VT 05363. A mass of christian death and burial for Sheila will be celebrated Friday December 8, 2017 at 1:30pm at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Wilmington. Interment will follow in the family lot in Riverview Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
