Shirley Strait

Shirley R. Strait of Bennington, VT passed away on January 9, 2016 at Fillmore Pond surrounded by family. Shirley was born September 2, 1922 to Effie & Jesse Robinson. Shirley is survived by 2 daughters Joanne Riccardi of Bonita Springs, FL and Colleen Dewey of Bennington, VT. 4 Grandchildren; Stephanie Foy, Charles Riccardi, Kyle Jansen & David Jansen. 9 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great-Great Grandchild. She is predeceased by her husband Lloyd Strait Sr. & her son Lloyd Strait Jr.Shirley graduated from Mildred Elley in 1941. Shirley & her husband owned Strait's Corner Store & a floral business in Berlin for many years. She then set her sights on a new career in banking and retired from Fleet Bank in 1987. Upon retirement Shirley's devotion was her family. She was admired by many, loved by the important and cherished by all. At her request an intimate service with her immediate family has been arranged under the direction of Hanson & Walbridge funeral home.
