Stanley Joseph Piontek

Stanley Joseph Piontek, 95, formerly of Morse Hill Road, passed away November 11, 2016 at Genesis, Mountain View in Rutland. Stanley was born in Castleton, VT on April 11, 1921 the son of Lawrence and Caroline (Krulin) Piontek, grew up on the family farm and attended local schools. Stanley worked as an inspector for Mack Molding for 37 years. He was a former member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in East Dorset, enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen, whom he married in West Rutland in 1949, his brothers John Piontek, Walter Piontek and George and Joseph Piontek who were killed in action in WWII, and sisters Stella Grabowski, Anna Jaginski and Louise Waterhouse. Funeral services for Stanley will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 11am at Brewster-Shea Funeral Service 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Jerome's Cemetery in East Dorset. There are no visiting hours.
