Stanley Robert King Jr., 57, passed away on November 5th, 2024 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center from complications of his Muscular Dystrophy.
Stanley graduated from Burr and Burton Academy in 1986. He worked at Ben Franklin doing maintenance. He also worked at Manchester Discount Beverage in the bottle room. As well as the forestry.
He married his wife Carol Ann King September 25th 1993.
He always had a positive attitude and lived his life to the fullest. He had a great love for fishing and could often be seen at the Mill Pond fishing with his wife Carol. Stanley was also a fan of WWE Wrestling and often talked about the matches. Stanley had a great love for His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He faithfully attended meetings at the Northshire Baptist Church.
Stanley was predeceased by his father, Stanley Robert King Sr., his two brothers, Keith Allen King and Vernon “Skip” Cecil King.
He is survived by his wife Carol, of Bennington, his mother Cecile King, of Manchester, and his two sisters, Roxanne Perry (Paul), of Manchester, and Dawn King, of North Hampton, MA. Two nephews, Charles Douglas, of Arlington and Steven Perry, of Fairhaven. A niece, Callista Perry, of Ashburn, GA. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins. A great nephew, Christopher Wright and a great niece, Caylia Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorial donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association c/o Brewster Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
Graveside funeral services for Stanley will be held Saturday November 23, 2024 at 11am at Factory Point Cemetery.
A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held on December 1st, 2024 at the VFW in Manchester from 1-5pm.
