Stefanie Nick

Stefanie Nick, 65, of Dover, VT, died on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. She died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Stefanie llved many lives. She was an adored daughter, an incredible sister, an amazing mother and a loving wife. But she was also a helicopter pilot, a fashion designer, an interior designer, a traveler, an amateur paper maker, and so much more. Her laugh could be heard from a mile away. She brought so much joy to everyone around.

Seventeen years ago she battled cancer for the first time, beating it. She fought hard and outlived many expectations during her most recent five-year long battle with the disease.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Phyllis Barry of Merrick, NY, and first husband, Jerry Unterman of Ridgefield, CT. She leaves behind her brother, Mark Barry of New York, NY, her husband Steve Nick of Dover, VT and two daughters, Amelia and Isabella Nick of Dover, VT.

A private burial was held on Sunday, July 28 with family in Long Island. A memorial in her honor will be held in the fall. Details to follow.
