Stephen Hunter Witt

Stephen Hunter Witt, 75 , of Arlington passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 on his 55th Wedding Anniversary following a brief illness. Stephen was born in Oceanside, NY on December 4, 1943. He was the son of Arthur and Marjorie Witt and raised in Manchester, VT. He graduated from BBS and then attended Castleton State College and the University of Miami. He worked for Arthur Witt & Sons with his father and brother and eventually started his own construction company, Stephen H. Witt Construction. Stephen married the love of his life, Jerilyn Mac Connach on December 27, 1963 in Miami, FL. Stephen was an avid Yankee fan in a household of Red Sox fans. He enjoyed many years of salt water fishing on Plum Island, MA. His retirement years were spent playing golf with his friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Jerilyn, children Stephen H. Witt Jr (Michelle) , New Castle , NH , Christopher Witt (Melissa) Manchester, VT, Sheri Stannard (Jim) E.Dorset, VT , Scott Witt (Chelsea) Shelburne, VT. Grandchildren Steph Wheat (Savita) , Jim Stannard IV, Kayla Stannard Dorset,VT , Collin and Patrick Witt New Castle, NH, and Blakely and Penelope Witt, Shelburne, VT. Brother, Arthur William Witt (Lois) Bomoseen, VT and niece and nephews. Services and burial will take place in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
